What news "totally pumped" Auggie on the retreat?

An overnight nature retreat is an exciting event for Auggie in Wonder. Previous to this experience, Auggie had never had a full sleepover before. When he attempted to sleep over at Christopher's house earlier, he got nervous and called his mother to go home. However, this time is different because his mom buys him a new duffle bag and he decides to leave his childhood bear, Baboo, at home.
While on the retreat, Auggie learns that Julian decided to stay home from the trip because he thought it was too nerdy and weird for him. Since Julian is the main antagonist and bully in Wonder, this makes Auggie very happy and allows him to enjoy the trip without worrying about getting bullied. However, as readers find out later, Julian is not the only negative force in Auggie's life that will affect him on the retreat.
