Since you already have the same bases, set the exponents equal to each other.
x^(2)+6=5x
Subtract 5x from both sides
x^(2)-5x+6=0
Factor the quadratic function
(x-2)(x-3)=0
Set each term equal to 0
x-2=0 and x-3=0
Solve each equation for x
x=2 and x=3
